Think Pink: Winter Wonder Moisturizers

Moisture Surge 1

It has officially dipped below zero degrees for the first time since Fall has begun which, of course, signals the emergence of those power moisturizers from makeup drawers across the land. Considering that, when outdoors, the skin that’s most often left exposed is the delicate skin on our faces, these pink picks are targeted to bring serious moisture back to the face and lips. Clinique’s Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief is a moisturizer that comes in the form of an oil-free hydrating gel formula which absorbs into the skin pretty much immediately, is listed as being suitable for all skin types and is meant to help skin resist dehydration.  I recently switched out my trusted drugstore daily moisturizer for this and there’s no going back for me, it’s a complete winner.

The Chubby Stick Baby Tint Moisturizing Lip Colour Balm in ‘Budding Blossom’ looks like a bright, Barbie-pink in the tube but goes on the lips a subtle and natural your-lips-but-better tint. But let’s get to whats really important – the hydration factor –  as it’s got to fend off the sandpaper lips that the Winter winds tend to grace us with. This it does, even lasting a whole morning commute and past my morning latte. Looks like this winter is looking a lot pinker.

Have you tried either of these products?  What are your Winter Wonder products?

  1. Tinted balms are such a saviour in the winter, I hate layering on my lips so it’s lovely to find something protective but with a little colour. Thanks for the review! Love your pictures 🙂
